Created before the launch of Aquarius/SAC-D in June 2011, this educational wall poster (24" X 20") has an image depicting the satellite in orbit. The back of the poster includes the scientific goals and benefits of the Mission. There is also information on how maps of sea surface salinity will increase knowledge about the interactions among ocean circulation, the water cycle, and climate. The Hands-On Activities & Online Data panel gives an overview of the classroom lessons that are are grouped by grade level (i.e., elementary, middle, and high school). Aquarius Online Data Tools are also highlighted: these help learners better understand how various factors influence salinity patterns, including air temperature, sea surface temperature, evaporation, and precipitation.
